Kelley Hollis is a classically-trained soprano known for her interpretations of new and lesser-known works. She was featured most notably on the LP Rosner’s Requiem, performing alongside the London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Nick Palmer (Toccata Records 2020). In 2018 she was invited to perform a concert at the Prague Castle in the Czech Republic, as well as a series of recitals in cities around the country, as a featured artist with the Americké jaro festival.
A graduate of Northwestern University and Boston University’s Opera Institute, Kelley’s opera credits include: Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Juana in the premiere of Omar Najmi’s En el ardiente oscuridad, Mimi in Puccini’s La bohème, Beth in Adamo’s Little Women, Greek Woman in Gluck’s Iphigénie en Tauride; Eliza in Nico Muhly’s Dark Sisters; Florencia Grimaldi in Catan’s Florencia en el Amazonas, Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Micaela in Le Tragedie de Carmen, Harper in Eötvös’ Angels in America and Nina in Pasatieri’s The Seagull. One of her most memorable and important operatic experiences was in presenting the premiere of Anthony R. Green’s opera It Must All Be Done In Darkness during Castle of our Skins’ 10th Season.
At home in Somerville, MA, Kelley is the core vocalist for Juventas New Music Ensemble and performs regularly with Boston Baroque.
