Join Castle of our Skins, multidisciplinary artist Daniel Callahan, and the Arnold Arboretum for MassQ Ball 2025: COLOR — a vibrant, outdoor celebration of ritual, performance, and cross-cultural artistry centering Boston’s communities of color.
Set among the natural beauty of the Arboretum, this large-scale event features live music, dance, spoken word, interactive art installations, and the powerful ritual of MassQing — a transformative face-painting practice rooted in global body art traditions.
With performances from Afro-Latin, Haitian, Chinese, Indigenous, North Indian, Afro-Brazilian, Hip-Hop, and other artistic traditions, the MassQ Ball is a space of joy, healing, and community connection.
