About the event
Centered around the work and life of Black, disabled, 20th century composer Julia Perry, Castle of our Skins presents a free panel discussion featuring disability advocates, musicians and scholars including Christopher Robinson, Keith Jones, Adrian Anatawan and Berklee professor Aja Burrell Wood.
This panel discussion is part of a multi-pronged 100th birthyear tribute (which includes performances at the Tanglewood Learning Institute and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum) designed to use arts and dialogue as a vehicle to build actionable awareness on issues faced by artists of various intersecting identities.
The music of Julia Perry is performed in part with the kind cooperation of The Estate of Julia A. Perry.
