Willie Alexander III, is a multi-genre composer and performer with a strong emphasis on contemporary classical. Alexander started his career at 19, as a full time singer with the San Francisco Symphony. He's been a resident artist at the Legendary Minton's Jazz Club in Harlem, where he was composer, and band leader for five months. He's composed for such notables as Kanye West, SKIMS, and Vanessa Beecroft; with performances at Lincoln Center, Davies Symphony Hall, Hollywood Bowl, and Art Basel Miami. Alexander has upcoming premieres with Justin Austin, and WQXR at The Greene Space in NY. As well he recently joined the NY Philharmonic as a full time chorus singer, in the newly inaugurated philharmonic chorus.
