Mason Windley is a musician from Suffolk, VA of the Hampton Roads area. He is an arranger, composer and alto saxophonist, and explores multiple genres and facets in his own music: Big band, hard bop, Afro-Caribbean, R&B, hip-hop and Romantic-era orchestral music to name a few. He is studying jazz alto-saxophone and Contemporary Writing and Production at the Berklee College of Music, and had written three symphonic suites prior to his attendance. In these suites, he embodied the large emotion and instrumentation of the Romantic-era and the thematic material characteristic of modern film score. During his studies in Boston and throughout life, he aims to set a standard regarding passion, spirituality, and devotion to art.
