Liseli A. Fitzpatrick
Poet
Liseli A. Fitzpatrick, Ph.D. is a Trinidadian poet and professor of African Cosmologies and Sacred Ontologies in the Africana Studies Department, Wellesley College, MA. Her penchant for poetry is driven by her deep-rooted desire to effect emancipatory change in the co-creation of an equitable, just and breathable world. Love, ancestral reverence, wisdom, nature and liberation are central themes in her work. Her most recent publications appear in the About Place Journal and Chicken Soup for the Soul special issue “I’m Speaking Now”. Liseli is a 2019 Furious Flower Poetry Center fellow, and a member of the Wintergreen Women Writers’ Collective. Instagram: @pro_setry
