Danie Etienne is a Haitian-American story teller, movement author, and film maker hailing from Fort Myers, Florida. Growing up in a Haitian household, movement has always been a vital part of her life and the way she connected to others. From the expressive nature of Haitian communication to the myriad of cultural celebrations and parties, Danie learned that Konpa and the social worlds of music and dance that surrounded it were an integral part of her ability to form close relationships to other people. Danie is currently pursuing her Masters in Choreography & Performance.
