Suitable for a variety of K-12 classroom subjects, the guide weaves biographical, historical, and musical material to encourage creative and comparative thinking. Developed by Castle of Our Skins and a team of Massachusetts educators, this guide also includes recommendations to lead students through the life and legacy of Malcolm X.

This CD and curriculum guide are the first to be released as part of As Told By: History, Race, and Justice on the Opera Stage, BMOP’s five-year performance and recording initiative featuring five operas by Black American composers about Black historical figures.
The curriculum guide, developed by Castle of Our Skins and a team of Massachusetts educators, includes lesson plans and recommendations to lead students through the life and legacy of Malcolm X.
