Alexandria Lattimore

Alexandria “Lexy” Lattimore is a performing artist, dancer, writer, and orator. She began training in classical ballet under the tutelage of Judith Keochoven at the Academy of Ballet Arts. Lexy matriculated to Duke University, where she worked with choreographers such as Andrea Woods (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company), Tony Johnson (ADF), Julie and Tyler Walters (Joffrey Ballet) and Reggie Wilson (Fist and Heel) and choreographed her own work for the 50th Anniversary of Black Students at Duke. In 2014, she produced her first full-length work, “A People to Believe In,” with the residents of a historically black neighborhood in North Carolina. Together, they used oral history, poetry and movement to bring communal and personal stories from the Reconstruction era to the present to the stage.
After graduating, Lexy joined DSundanceX, a contemporary ballet company directed by David Sun. She recently moved to New York City where she has continued to train with choreographers like Kyle Abraham, Milton Meyers, Nathan Trice, Forces of Nature and the esteemed staff at the Martha Graham School.
