Month long Events

KURAPA - Elements of Healing

Kurapa - to mend; to heal (Shona language, Zimbabwe)

Over the entire month of November, venture on a transformational healing journey with this digital healing space. KURAPA is a space for Black people to feel welcome, safe and open to healing, designed by Simba Mafundikwa and Amina Maya. The purpose is to guide the audience through a healing process that is rooted in African tradition yet adapts to the growing need for collective grieving in the United States.

KURAPA gives you the means and space to go through the process of healing by utilizing the power of the five elements - Ether (Ruzha), Water (Mvura), Earth (Ivhu), Fire (Moto), and Air (Mweya).  KURAPA brings together a digital community of
spiritual seekers searching for solidarity for people of the African Diaspora.
