IGNITING BLACK CREATIVITY THROUGH BLACK CONNECTION

The BSU Intercollegiate Fellowship is a 5-month long process in which Black students from select music schools in Boston have the opportunity to connect with one another while gaining career skills through mentorship, professional development, and a co-curated concert to be performed in February of 2022!

MENTORSHIP

Select Castle of Our Skins' guest artists were invited to connect with and mentor student and engaged in conversations covering a wide variety of topics related to being a young Black musician entering the professional world.

Special thanks to Dr. Bongani Ndodana-Breen, The Honourable Elizabeth A. Baker, and Yaz Lancaster for offering their insight and experience to our fellows!

CONCERT CURATION

Over a 5-month period, students will participate in workshops, attend performances featuring esteemed Black musicians, and program a concert - all in the interest of building a supportive community catered to the growth of young Black musicians.
