Quentin Brandèl is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University (Elizabeth City, N.C.), holding a B.A. in English (Speech Language Pathology) and a B.A. in Music (Voice Performance). He has recently completed a M.M. in Voice Performance the Longy School of Music of Bard College (Cambridge, Ma). Quentin has sung with Long Leaf Opera Company (Durham, NC), and the newly formed North Carolina Opera Company (Raleigh, NC). In 2005 he performed in a ten city tour of Nigeria on an invitation from the Archdiocese of Umuahia. His principle teachers include Dr. Amelia Harris-Horné, Dr. Louise Toppin, Carol Mastrodomenico, Anna Gabrieli. He has sung on masterclasses for Yeghishe Manucharian, Dr. Darryl Taylor, Ray M. Wade, Thomas Meglioranza, & Sondra Kelly. Notable Roles include Psuloduls (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Billy (Das Kleine Mahagonny), & Gawaine (Guinevere, World Premiere).
