Welcome BIBA readers and friends of Castle of our Skins! Our fifth season was packed with incredible events, collaborations, and educational outreach, and our sixth season will be just as powerful! Additionally, the BIBA blog will have a new format for the season, with weekly posts every Sunday (or Monday!) about various aspects of Black artistry, in celebration of the mission of Castle of our Skins. Written and video blogs will be presented not only by Associate Director Anthony Green, but also by guest bloggers, to include our new Season 6 composer-in-residence Brian Nabors, COOS friend Charles Murrell III, the young and talented composer Jessie Cox, our very own COOS Artistic Director Ashleigh Gordon, and others! COOS is looking forward to sharing BIBA with as many people as possible, especially those outside of the Boston area who want to learn more about what we do and other topics related to our mission. Please feel free to share this blog with your friends and family, and if there is something you would like to see or discuss, do not hesitate to reach out through email or filling out a contact form! Until then, continue to celebrate Beauty In Black Artistry! Next post: Sunday, August 26, 2018; topic: Remembering Dr. Rae Linda Brown, with composer Bill Banfield PS - can you name who is in the picture? Comment below!!!
