Ireashia monétIreashia Monét (b. 1993) has 4+ years of experience as a photographer, artist, filmmaker, and journalist. She received her B.A. in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago and has, since then, journeyed through academia as an independent scholar focusing on the history, arts and cultures within the Black diaspora. She has worked as photographer, writer and multimedia journalist for publications such as Frank Magazine, the Chicago Reader, and the Center for Black Music Research's CROSSTALK blog. In 2015, Ireashiafounded DRALA Magazine, an online magazine uplifting emerging artists, writers, and musicians. Her photographs and films have been featured in group exhibitions curated by Ciera McKissick of AMFM. She was apart of the 2015 session of QUEER, ILL + OKAY, where she illuminated the importance of talking about invisible and chronic illness through performance and spoken word.

Currently, she works as a freelance photographer and videographer. Thus far, she has collaborated with artists and cultural producers to conceive projects which utilize innovative multimedia storytelling. With each collaboration, the cultivation of community and holistic thinking is at the center in order to foster dynamic artistic production.
